My name is Liv Fowler, and I’m proud to be part of the Otago Touch team, working to grow and support our Touch community across the region.
I’ve been involved in Touch for a number of years, both as a player and a coach. I’ve had the privilege of representing New Zealand, Otago at both age-grade and open levels, and Columba College throughout my school years. These experiences have shaped my love for the game and deepened my commitment to helping others enjoy and succeed in the sport.
As the Touch Development Officer for Otago, my role focuses on the grassroots growth of the game through a range of development initiatives, including:
- Delivering coaching programmes and support to schools
- Providing development opportunities for coaches, referees, and volunteers at junior modules
- Running player development events that are accessible to all skill levels
- Supporting community modules to deliver high-quality, inclusive Touch experiences
- Assisting Otago Secondary School Sports in the coordination and delivery of secondary school Touch
- Managing key Otago Touch events that celebrate our sport
- Supporting the Otago representative programme alongside the Performance Pathways Committee (PPC)
